VNA Seriese: Test Cable for Vector Network Analyzer (630mm)
VNA Seriese: Test Cable for Vector Network Analyzer (630mm) is designed for high-accuracy RF and microwave measurement applications. This phase stable VNA test cable provides excellent amplitude stability, low insertion loss and high measurement repeatability for vector network analyzer calibration, antenna testing, RF component measurement and microwave laboratory environments.
VNA Series: Precision Armored VNA Test Cables (630mm Length)
AO Microwave’s metrology-grade 630mm VNA test cables are designed to deliver exceptional phase and amplitude stability under continuous movement up to 50 GHz [3.3.4]. Built with low-density expanded PTFE (ePTFE) dielectrics and gold-plated copper contacts, these test cables are protected by a heavy-duty, multi-layer stainless steel armor sleeve. Operating across standard bands with metrology-grade connector interfaces (NMD and standard 2.92mm/2.4mm), our 630mm VNA assemblies achieve a low input VSWR, low insertion loss, and outstanding phase stability of typically < 3° at 40 GHz under standard bending.
These high-performance armored assemblies are engineered to withstand the mechanical stress of laboratory testing. The 630mm length is optimized for compact desk test-benches, minimizing excess cabling while maintaining stable performance.

Preventing Phase Drift in Dynamic VNA Test Setups
VNA calibration relies on recording exact reference phase and amplitude parameters. During testing, manually moving and bending the test cables to connect to various ports on the device under test (DUT) can introduce physical stress. This stress shifts the internal dielectric, leading to phase and amplitude drift.
AO Microwave’s VNA test cables are engineered to prevent this drift. By using an ultra-low-density expanded PTFE (ePTFE) dielectric wrapped in a multi-layer stainless steel armored sleeve, we distribute physical bending forces. This construction maintains tight concentricity under flexure, keeping phase drift below < 3° at 40 GHz to preserve calibration integrity.
