CT Series: Low-Loss Economical Coaxial Cable
CT Series: Low-Loss Economical Coaxial Cable provides reliable RF signal transmission with reduced attenuation and cost-effective performance for general microwave and RF communication applications. Suitable for wireless infrastructure, antenna systems, laboratory testing environments, microwave assemblies and RF communication equipment.
CT Series: Low-Loss & Economical Flexible Coaxial Cables
AO Microwave’s CT Series coaxial cables are designed to deliver low insertion loss alongside high cost-efficiency up to 18 GHz. Engineered for high-volume commercial and infrastructure installations, these economical cables feature micro-cellular foamed polyethylene (PE) or standard solid PTFE dielectrics. Wrapped with a double-shielded outer wire braid (using silver-plated copper-clad steel or copper wires) and protected by a weather-proof FEP or PVC jacket, our CT Series assemblies achieve a shielding effectiveness of typically > 80 dB and low input VSWR.
These cost-effective cable assemblies are engineered to balance performance with affordability. They are critical for indoor commercial wireless networks, general-purpose laboratory test patch lines, and telecom cabinet wiring.

Affordable RF Interconnects without Compromising Signal Integrity
In high-volume commercial installations, managing hardware budgets is a primary constraint. While test-grade low-loss cables offer excellent electrical performance, their complex materials and manufacturing make them expensive.
To provide an affordable alternative, AO Microwave developed the CT Series. By utilizing mass-produced foamed polyethylene (PE) dielectrics and high-durability copper-clad steel center conductors, we reduce material costs. This design maintains low insertion loss and reliable electrical performance across standard bands, offering a cost-effective solution for commercial routing.
Target Applications & Operational Advantages
By providing low insertion loss and high cost-efficiency, our CT Series flexible cables secure commercial RF paths:
Commercial Wireless Network Routing
Function: Connects internal modules and sub-assemblies inside dense telecom cabinets.
Advantage: Symmetrical double-shielded outer wire braids provide high shielding effectiveness (>80 dB) to prevent cross-talk.
General-Purpose Lab Test Lines
Function: Interconnects test instruments and devices under test on general-purpose benches.
Advantage: Exceptional flexibility and small bend radius simplify cable routing in confined spaces, maintaining stable amplitude.
Telecom Cabinet Internal Wiring
Function: Routes RF signals between transceiver cards and power amplifier modules.
Advantage: Low insertion loss and durable jacketing withstand repeated manual handling and physical flexing.
